This notice tells you what Pikapoko stores on your device. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. Partner sites such as Amazon set their own cookies only after you click a link to them.
1. What we store
- Session cookie "pk_session": keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in. Strictly necessary. Lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out.
- Browser storage "hikeTheme": your light or dark choice. Strictly necessary for the setting you asked for. Stays until you clear it.
- Browser storage "hikeHave": the shopping list items you ticked. Needed for the feature you use. Stays on your device.
- Browser storage for the hiker passport: stamps you collect. Stays on your device, with no account and no tracking.
2. What loads only after you choose
Product photos in the gear sections load from Amazon's image servers, which receive your IP address. As far as we can tell, these requests do not set cookies. If you click a link to Amazon, Amazon handles your data under its own notice and may set its own cookies. Map tiles and optional layers load from the services named in the Privacy notice when you open a map.
3. What we do not use
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media pixels or fingerprinting. If we add any of these, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
4. Your choices
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. To block Amazon product photos, block images from m.media-amazon.com in your browser or with a content blocker. The site works without any of the optional items.
